Steph Curry's odds of winning Ellie Mae Classic are VERY low

Steph Curry practices for his debut in a professional golf tournament in California

It's a genre of yarn that is deep and endlessly entertaining.

With the summer still in full swing, Stephen Curry is entering his first professional golf event this week: the Web.com Tour's Ellie Mae Classic.

It appears Curry did not hold back as well as he drank with his new friends after gatecrashing the party.

The story goes that Curry was in Newport, Rhode Island this past Saturday night, attending the wedding of former teammate Harrison Barnes.

His entry via a sponsor's exemption has drawn enough buzz that one Las Vegas sportsbook has booked odds on him winning the tournament and making the cut. But, Curry didn't just pop in and out.

Enter: the house party of Instagram user JimboSlice401 aka Jim Marrinan. The questions ranged from what was going through his head on some of his most famous plays, to fans asking for one of his championship rings, to where he ranks among the all-time great shooting guards.

They knocked and asked if they could join in - and the gang of 20-something-year-olds inside immediately passed over the Bud Lights.

"We're told the guys partied for about 30 to 45 mins and everyone had a blast".
