Former Apple creative director says Steve Jobs era over, Apple 'fundamentally changed'

Apple is in danger of losing to Samsung in the smartphone market.

As well as recondition some with replacement batteries and release them in South Korea and emerging nations, it will be undertaking a massive recycling programme that will recover tonnes of rare materials.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23 in New York with a 6.3-inch infinity display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 processor, an Android 7.1 Nougat OS out-of-the-box, a dual rear camera - 12MP wide-angle camera and a 13MP telephoto lens, an autofocus front-snapper, an iris scanner, and an AI-powered digital voice assistant Bixby. They are planning to recover 157 tons of rare metals that include Gold from the Galaxy Note 7 units. Airlines banned passengers from carrying Note 7s on flights due to safety concerns and millions of smartphones were shipped back to Samsung.

The Galaxy Note 8 was initially rumored to feature this technology but has later been confirmed to have abandoned it owing to some technical issues. The Galaxy S8 grew longer, slimmer and dropped most of the frame surrounding the display, for a sleek design many in the tech industry contend has bested Apple Inc.'s iPhone-some would say for the first time.

Did Samsung just accidentally reveal the Note 8? The listing also has the item as going on sale on August 1, which is a good indicator that the device itself will be getting released in the near future. With one large angle lens and another telephoto lens, the device also rumored to offer the 6GB RAM as standard.
